If you're looking for a cozy spot just minutes from Istanbul's historic gems like the Blue Mosque and the Spice Bazaar, Efzen Hotel hits the mark. I recently stayed there with a couple of friends, and despite its somewhat unassuming entrance, the warmth of the staff quickly made us feel at home-big props to the team for being ever so helpful! The rooms are compact but well-equipped, with some featuring lovely balconies and great sea views that inspire thoughts of wild African landscapes. Although housekeeping didn't change our bedding over four days, they kept everything tidy, and the provision of clean towels and basic toiletries was a nice touch. What truly stood out for me was the fantastic location-after a day of exploring, we could easily find supplies at nearby grocery stores or enjoy a leisurely meal at local cafés.
